A BLE smart energy switch adds a connected layer to the card switch. Guests unlock room power from a phone over Bluetooth LE, or from a MIFARE card if the network is down. The smart energy saving switch then logs every power event to the cloud, so the hotel sees real occupancy and consumption per room.

BLE vs WiFi hotel energy switch

The BLE keycard switch handles the local unlock (phone or card, no server needed); the WiFi energy switch half reports usage and receives remote authorize / revoke from the front desk. Together they make a hotel energy saving switch that is both offline-reliable and cloud-visible.
